Happiness is the greatest Divine birthright – the buried treasure of my Soul. Paramhansa Yogananda

Come share this whimsical evening of laughter and spiritual friendship!

How long has it been since you’ve been to a dinner party filled with laughter, joy, and spiritual community? Now, more than ever, seems like the time to bring people together in music, merriment, great food, and Divine friendship.

WHAT IS A SALON EVENING?

Salons originated in 16th century Europe and were popular well into the early 20th century. Nowadays, when most people hear the word “salon” they think of the places where one goes to get their hair and nails done. But original salons were gatherings (often dinners) held for amusement, inspiration, and friendship. LET’S BRING BACK THE CLASSICAL SALON- a great way to share a wonderful evening filled with joy, laughter, and new friends!

Register NOW! To attend, you MUST REGISTER in advance. Spaces are filling up!
HOW IT WORKS:

Ananda Thousand Oaks will be beautifully decorated for a special evening. Each person attending will bring a vegetarian dish to share AND something “else” to share with the group. When it’s your turn to share, you can spend a maximum of five minutes, or as little as half a minute sharing your something “else!” Examples might include anything from telling a story, to reading a poem, sharing an interesting fact, sharing something fantastic, imaginative, artistic, touching, funny, playing an instrument, singing, sharing a riddle… anything goes! That’s the beauty of it, there’s no right or wrong, just plenty of fun as each person adds their unique take to Salon Evening.

The possibilities are limitless and so is the fun! All while sharing a great vegetarian dinner in Divine friendship.

All ages are welcomed. Kids must be able to sit quietly while someone is sharing.

Date: Saturday, October 8, 6:00pm-8:00pm

Location: Ananda Thousand Oaks, 1321 Thousand Oaks Blvd., #124

Cost: Free. Attendees must help by bringing a vegetarian dish to share. If your heart feels called to make a donation, the donation box is on the counter in the center, or you can donate HERE with just one click.

Ananda is a non-profit, nonsectarian center for meditation, spiritual growth, and community. All are welcome.
