Ananda’s Sunday Service is a special time to gather with like-minded souls for spiritual upliftment and fellowship. This service includes music, chanting, meditation, affirmation, and an inspirational talk drawn from the universal teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and his direct disciple, Swami Kriyananda.
People of any faith are welcome and may find the services are a place where they can take their own faith and understanding deeper. Ananda is open to people of all faiths, races, orientations, truth-seekers, people exploring meditation for the first time, and anyone who seeks a deeper understanding of the meaning and purpose of life.
After Service, you are invited to share time with the ministers, Nayaswamis Narayan & Dharmadevi, and enjoy a vegetarian potluck lunch.
Schedule:
- 8:50 am Meet in Ananda T.O. parking lot. Caravan down in your own car or ride along in someone else’s and enjoy getting to know them.
- 9:00 am Depart from Ananda T.O.
- 10:00 am – 10:45 am Fire Ceremony, Purification, Meditation
- 11:00 am – 12:15 pm Sunday Service
- 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm Potluck Lunch & Divine Friendship (time to share and enjoy spiritual community)
Please bring a vegetarian dish to share, if possible.
Sunday services are Free. Donations are welcomed.
We will caravan home after lunch, leaving the West L.A. center by 1:00pm.
