Atha Yoga Anushasanam: And now we come to the study of Yoga. Patanjali 1.1

Paramhansa Yogananda said that God made delusion charming, otherwise, who would be interested in it?
How do we escape from the delusion?

Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga is valuable because his descriptions of what spiritual freedom looks like are so clear. Through his explanations, we understand how to live such that we change from within, in practical, real-life ways so that we land in deeper inner joy.

Working with intangible vrittis of karma is the path of Self-realization. That intangibility is why discussion and community are so valuable. This ongoing series offers opportunity to share deep, sincere conversations with others on this path. We can receive honest, sincere feedback while discussing areas in our life that challenge us most.

In this ten-month discussion, we will work with one Yama or Niyama at a time, for one month each, meeting once a week to share and discuss its application in our daily lives. Focusing on one at a time for an extended period allows for deeper experiential understanding of Truth, and encourages soul expansion.

Imagine how different your life could be if through deeper understanding of the Yamas and Niyamas, you could neutralize all pain and suffering!

Weekly discussions will be held in-person at the center. If you can’t attend every week, that’s okay. The deeper your commitment in daily life, the more you will personally receive from your efforts to change from within. This series also offers opportunity to deepen spiritual friendships while discussing the challenges we all face in the path of Self-realization.

This series is open to anyone who has already taken The Art & Science of Raja Yoga
