“Because man himself is an expression of the Creative Word, sound has the most potent and immediate effect on him, offering a way to remembrance of his divine origin.”  -Paramhansa Yogananda

Chanting has the power to transform and uplift the soul, and to open the heart.

Kirtans are beautiful and powerful experiences. Through chanting we can experience the living presence of the Divine within us. And, we can feel the benefits of this devotional evening throughout the week.

Join us as we sing beautiful chants, accompanied by harmonium, guitar, and percussion.  Chants are simple to learn, or feel free to quietly immerse yourself in the feelings of the heart. The evening’s theme is devotion, as we seek to remain in a state of self-offering, openness and receptivity throughout the evening.

To repeat a chant mechanically, in a singsong manner, has virtually no spiritual value. Our heart must sing, even more than our voice. Swami Kriyananda
