Please Note: This replaces our regular Wednesday evening meditation Dec. 9th.
Chanting has the power to transform and uplift the soul, and to open the heart.

This evening’s theme is devotion, as we seek to remain in a state of self-offering, openness and receptivity throughout the evening.

Join us as we sing beautiful chants, accompanied by harmonium and percussion.  Chants are simple to learn. Or, feel free to quietly immerse yourself in the feelings of the heart.

“To repeat a chant mechanically, in a singsong manner, has virtually no spiritual value. Our heart must sing, even more than our voice.” – Swami Kriyananda

A kirtan is a beautiful and powerful experience. Through chanting we can experience the living presence of the Divine within us. And, we can feel the benefits of this devotional evening throughout the week.

Feel free at any point to make a simple offering of devotion, gratitude and joy upon your own altar at home. An offering can be as simple as a flower, a candle, or a prayer. A home altar can be as simple as a small plate or tray, or it can be large and ornate. Whatever brings inspiration to your heart.
